I got a glimpse of this mega project today. It is being developed behind the Leisure Valley Park in Gurgaon.

And by god, it looks phenomenal. I saw the concept photos of this upcoming tourist destination…

And it should be pretty darn incredible.

The developers of this project are aiming to make it a rival to global tourism destinations like Sydney’s Opera House, Paris’s Moulin Rouge, Thailand’s Phuket FantaSea, Singapore’s Esplanade and London’s Broadway.

Something that would become a part of the global tourism map…

It is going to house a fantastic auditorium, opera house and theatre that would look more fabulous than the sets of Sanjay Leela Bhansali movies.

They are going to showcase live performances from Bollywood superstars.

And then there are going to be state specific halls. Little India Street is another component of this project which would focus on displaying Indian handicrafts and other heritage items.

The project seems to have blessings of high profile names including Amitabh Bachchan, Karan Johar, Gulzar, Javed Akhtar, Shiamak Davar and Dia Mirza…

The project is in safe hands of Mr. Anumod Sharma who is the director of the company. He is the same individual who mesmerized the entire country with the launch of the Fireball discotheque in 32nd Milestone around a decade ago.

It is currently scheduled to open in April-May 2010. I really cannot wait to check out the final result of this mega architecture.
