Gurgaon to get 62 inter-city luxury buses. Where are the roads?

Gurgaon might be part of the Delhi NCR region but it has no form of public transportation.

Rickshaws are hard to find. And they can only take you to a smaller distance.

Auto Rickshaws are non-existing. And if you manage to catch one, it would either be a multi-passenger carrying pain or it would cost you a bomb.

The Haryana government has announced that the city of Gurgaon would ‘soon’ get 62 inter-city luxury buses.

This would be in addition to 200 city buses.

Sounds like a good plan.

The problem is… where are the roads? Where are the bus stops? The city is jam packed with traffic during rush hours. The city is a mess even during the non-office hours. Where are these buses going to ride? Over pedestrians? Or over two wheeler riders?

Looks like Gurgaon is all set to get its own Killerline Express.

Gurgaon to get modern bus stands?

Public transport system in Gurgaon is as good as non-existing.

Buses catering to local traffic are a rare species.

Bus stands? There aren’t any we believe.

The Haryana government has now announced that they are going to construct 20 passengers friendly ultra modern bus stands in the State.

That’s right 20 bus stands for the entire state. What a relief!

As per reports in the media, Gurgaon would get three of them:

Sector 29
Rajiv Chowk
Main Bus stand
